Workers damage family’s brand new fridge during delivery

TALLMADGE, Ohio (WJW) – Two delivery drivers damaged a local family’s brand new refrigerator, and the incident was captured by the homeowner’s surveillance camera.

The local woman makes dangerous discoveries in her brother’s affairs and asks I-TEAM for help

“I laugh about it. People talk about it a lot because they saw my Instagram video, ”said Chad Jones of Tallmadge.

Jones’ doorbell camera rolled when two delivery workers arrived at his home last Thursday to deliver a brand new refrigerator.

“I had to unhook my original refrigerator and unhook the waterline. I got really excited and texted my friends with drinks in my house. We have all the ice, ”laughed Jones.

But those drinks were literally put on hold after the two put the refrigerator right outside his house.

“As you can see in the video, the door is hanging by a thread. The drawers are all over the driveway, ”Jones said.

Jones said the two men were still trying to deliver the refrigerator, saying it had been damaged by the manufacturer.

Jones’ ring video, however, told a very different story.

“Though it was his fault for not buckling it up or waiting for his colleague, he’s already had a bad day. I’ll just let it go, ”said Jones.

Jones says the boys took back the damaged fridge and left.

And while his family waits for a replacement, Jones says there are a few lessons to be learned here.

“Everyone has a camera somewhere. And I’m not a professional mover, but I always use a strap when moving a large piece of equipment and you won’t have situations like this, ”said Jones.
