DURHAM, NC, June 9, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – DURHAM, NC, June 9, 2021 – QuickCollect Solutions, powered by Bell and Howell, the leading provider of grocery collection solutions, today announced a partnership with Lowes Foods, a . known large supermarket chain headquartered in the Carolinas to offer more food options to consumers returning to work. This partnership expands Lowes Foods To Go’s delivery options by adding Bell and Howell QuickCollect GL temperature controlled food lockers in offices and on company premises so that employees can have their food orders delivered to their office.

“In today’s world of easy and convenient contactless delivery, this partnership gives consumers more pickup and delivery options for their grocery shopping experience,” said Joe Zuech, vice president of Grocery Pickup for QuickCollect Solutions. “Our QuickCollect GL lockers are already being used by grocers, retailers, boards and farmers markets across North America for automated collection of fresh grocery orders,” he added.

Lowes Foods and QuickCollect Solutions have installed the first lockers for the program outside of Bell and Howell’s headquarters in Durham, NC. Orders are currently being shipped three times a week. Orders are simply placed online and delivered the next day of delivery. The orders are kept safe and fresh in the QuickCollect GL, which offers several temperature zones from heated to frozen until the guest can pick up his order.

Lowes Foods was well prepared to meet the increased demand for online grocery shopping and contactless delivery caused by COVID-19 as it has been providing roadside pickup and delivery for nearly 25 years. “We’re excited to take the foundation we laid in grocery delivery and take convenience to a whole new level,” said Chad Petersen, vice president of eCommerce, Lowes Foods. “Our personal shoppers pick, prepare and prepare orders with the quality and accuracy of shopping for their own family. Then we take the convenience of contactless delivery to the next level by partnering with QuickCollect Solutions to mobilize that experience for our guests. We strive to provide as much comfort as possible to ease the stress of our busy guests. “

Bell and Howell’s QuickCollect GL lockers are truly complete solutions that allow grocers to remotely configure column temperatures and maintain 100 percent food quality in the harshest outdoor climates. Once an order has been placed and delivered to the locker, the guest will be notified by SMS or email with a unique pick-up code. From there, the guest can simply scan the code and retrieve their articles. Each QuickCollect solution is backed by Bell and Howell’s worry-free maintenance program and award-winning service organization.
