Seth Meyers exposes Tucker Carlson’s “Insanely Obvious” Texas Lies
NBC “It’s been like that for a long time, but right now, if you look around, it’s easy to feel that practically everything in our country is broken,” Seth Meyers said on his first episode of Late Night after it was recorded last week out. “The past year was marked by incessant misery, dysfunction and chaos – and yes, I know, I’m starting to sound like Werner Herzog at the head of one of these segments.” But with more than 500,000 Americans who have died from COVID. 19 and an ongoing power and water crisis in Texas, here we are. And the host spent the next few minutes pounding Newsmax for his “desperate” attempt to smear Joe Biden’s dog instead of breaking the news, and Fox News for relentlessly spreading the blatant lie that green energy to blame in Texas. “Like clockwork, the Fox News Disinformation Machine went to work, blaming the Texas blackout for a thing that currently does not exist in Texas or nationally in any form, the Green New Deal,” Meyers said before speaking a montage of many Fox anchors played pounded this narrative and culminated in a joke by Tucker Carlson about “windmills”. “How would you like a windmill in your garden that makes noise, chops up birds and soaks up all of your air?” Meyers asked, mimicking the Fox host. “How is a windmill supposed to move in and live in your house, eat all your food and drink all your alcohol? How would you like this windmill to get suspiciously close to your wife until she goes shopping together without you and you stay home wondering what they’re doing in the outlet mall while you’re even looking out the window? the chopped birds on your lawn? “John Oliver had it with Tucker Carlson’s Texas Crisis Lies. So it went on until Meyers, when Carlson warned the audience,” My wife left me for a windmill, and it will happen to you too! “Of course, it won’t surprise you to learn that this lie is aggressively lying and stupid,” he added, returning to reality. He cited a study that showed that Texas’s electricity is mostly generated from natural gas and coal, along with some nuclear power. “What it does, of course, is Texas!” Said Meyers. They used to have a soccer team called the Houston Oilers, not the Houston Solar Panels. “” And I’m sorry to have to say this because it’s so obvious, “he continued,” but the Green New Deal isn’t something that exists in Texas or on a national level. It’s like blaming Avatar 2 for its problems. It’s not over yet! Instead, he explained, the natural gas pipelines were frozen due to the lack of regulations that primarily caused the outages, and only seven percent of Texas winter power capacity was expected to come from the wind. “Kind of like how you can only believe about 7 percent of what you see on Fox News,” Meyers said.
