Pickup driver arrested after rollover crash injuring 2 in Costa Mesa – Orange County Register
Police said two people were in a hospital after a violent accident in Costa Mesa early Sunday morning and a Maywood man was arrested on suspicion of driving disorder.
The crash occurred immediately after a pickup truck gave a red light on Newport and Harbor boulevards at around 2:07 a.m., Costa Mesa police said in a statement.
The truck drove south and met a pedestrian walking down Harbor Boulevard. The truck then slammed into another vehicle before rolling over.
It was not clear if the pedestrian was crossing the street or a sidewalk when he was hit.
The pedestrian and the driver of the other vehicle were both taken to hospitals where they were still recovering. Their conditions were not known later on Sunday morning.
