Laundry Pickup and Delivery Service Adds New Partners
EAST GREENWICH, RI – Tech-Enabled Laundry Collection and Delivery Service HappyNest continues to expand as it recently added two locations in California, the company reports.
The new partners are Bart Duren, who owns Laundry City in Fresno, and Rhett Bray, owner of the Speedwash Laundromat and Water Store in Orange.
Duren has been in the laundry for five years and also works full-time as a lineman at Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). Managing his time between businesses is important and he relies on his family for help with the laundromat when he can’t be around. Duren’s daughters Brianae, Brittani, Brandee and Bria will be involved in the HappyNest side of the business along with his father Terry and mother Janet Simon.
“Ultimately, I want to focus all of my efforts on the laundromat and our new HappyNest brand, but right now I know that both are in … tough, reliable hands,” says Duren.
“California became a huge growth market in the fourth quarter of 2020 and that expansion will continue through 2021,” said John MacKrell, founder of HappyNest. “We are excited to be opening the Fresno store and we are delighted that Bart, his team and his family are part of HappyNest.”
Bray has owned his Orange Laundromat for the past three years and ventured into pickup and delivery in 2020 with limited success.
“I knew the Orange County’s pickup and delivery market was gaining traction and I wanted to be a part of it, but I wasn’t sure who to best coordinate with,” says Bray. “After a few months marketing my delivery service with limited results, I pulled the reins financially to reevaluate my options.”
After consulting with a current HappyNest partner, Bray was convinced that he had to go on board. From there, the HappyNest team built a service area based on demographic data, “which should be a home game for both of us,” he adds.
“We have found another great partner to join our converting Springboard licensees in Orange County, California,” said MacKrell. “Rhett comes to HappyNest with pickup and delivery experience. Combine that with our existing market presence and a robust marketing initiative and 2021 will get off to a rapid start. “
While Laundry City as well as Speedwash Laundromat and Water Store continue to serve their existing self-service and drop-off customers, they now offer pick-up and delivery in their respective service areas via HappyNest.
