Hermon food pantry moving to new, nearby home

HERMON, Maine (WABI) – The neighbors who support the Hermon neighbors pantry community are moving …

… but they don’t go too far.

Since Danforth’s will offer a delivery service, they needed the space where the pantry was.

The owner of the complex is donating the space just a few doors down where Family Dollar used to live.

We were there when they moved into their new, much larger home, which will allow them to expand their offerings significantly.

“We will be able to transport pet supplies, food, clothing and furniture again,” said Carol Lackedy, volunteer coordinator. “People can donate items that we can put back. If there is a fire in the church, they can come to us. We will have such items to replace things they may have lost. “

The first day of delivery from the new room is November 5th.

They urgently need shelves and clothes racks.
