Giant Food Stores launches CHOICE pass grocery delivery pickup program

Buying groceries online and contactless just got easier.

On Tuesday, Giant unveiled its CHOICE Pass program for Giant Direct customers. The program allows unlimited collection and delivery for registered customers.

“The demand for online grocery services has skyrocketed over the past year, far exceeding originally forecast growth,” said Matt Simon, CMO of Giant, in a statement that saves them time and money without compromising on quality, and gives them more time to get together at their table and connect over dinner. “

The CHOICE Pass program replaces the PodPass. Customers can register for the subscription program for $ 98 per year. Paying subscribers get free delivery and pickup on all grocery orders. Customers can also register for $ 12.95 per month. One-time delivery and pick-up options are also available to customers: pick-up orders over $ 30 are charged a fee of $ 2.95, and individual orders over $ 7 are charged a fee of $ 7.95.

The Carlisle-based company announced Giant Direct in February 2019 and launched its first e-commerce hub in Lancaster later that year. In August 2020, the company began a $ 114 million investment that will convert 35 stores later this year, including expanding its Shrewsbury and Dillsburg locations.
