Barnhart acquires Days Machinery Movers

US lifting and transportation specialist Barnhart Crane and Rigging will buy Days Machinery Movers from its parent company Days Corporation in Elkhart, Indiana. The acquisition includes related personnel and equipment.

The machine moving operation provides rigging services including the following: machine installation and leveling; Device setup, including anchoring, alignment and potting; Mill construction, including manufacturing and iron processing; and plant restructuring and relocation.

Features include flatbed, step deck and double-drop trailers, a 450-ton (408-ton) portal system, forklifts up to 3.6 tons (8,000 pounds), and Versa-Lift and TriLifter Lifting machines.

The acquisition will further enhance Barnhart’s presence in the Midwest, where Barnhart already has multiple offices in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Michigan and Ohio. “Days Corporation has an excellent reputation in this region,” said Jim Chapman, Barnhart regional director. “The staff and services are first class.
